Thursday 2/16/12.                Every Thursday is Farmer’s Market under the Caloosahatchee Bridge.  Linda thought it would be neat to go take a look.  We found about forty vendors, mostly selling fresh fruits and vegetables.  I got three green peppers, the smallest was larger than a soft ball, for a dollar. There were others vendors there with plants for landscaping, homemade soaps and candles (Linda couldn’t resist), caramel popcorn, Mexican food, and a lunch stand featuring mac and cheese with crabmeat, lobster or shrimp.

We spent the evening with Casey and Barb.  She prepared a delicious spaghetti dinner that went down real good.  While we were there we discussed getting together for the Festival of Light Grand Parade.  Casey went into his computer room and came back a few minutes later saying we have four tickets for the VIP dinner and seating at the Event Center.  Wow!  That will be some evening.         Then they introduced us to the game Rummikub.  It’s played very much like an expanded version of the card game 500 Rummy but using tiles instead of cards. We got hooked on the game and played until after 11:00P.  That’s past my bedtime.

We were so wound up from our evening we didn’t go to bed until after 2:00P.

Zzzzzzz,
